Time to update the English section of my website, since the last news dates from nearly 18 months ago.
Of course the Dutch section is updated very regularly but not every one is able to read Dutch.
Most important news in 2007 were the European Championship 2007 in Amsterdam and the World Championship 2007 in Stuttgart.
I visited both tournaments and watched all famous gymnasts from all over the world. It was really impressive to see all the routines "live" instead of looking at videoclips or tv.
In June 2007 I won the bronze medal on balance beam in the Dutch Nationals and that made me very happy.
Now we are at the beginning of the new competition. The National contests are from April to June.
At the end of April six gymnasts of our club, together with two coaches, will go to New York for a 2-week training course and that is very exciting. I have never been in The States before and I hope to learn a lot and looking forward meet new friends.

This week I received an e-mail from…….New York. I was very surprised because I’n not used to get mail from abroad, except from my family in Australia and also a gymnast from Palm Beach. The sender, a trainer/coach in gymnastics found my website by coincedence and he also sent me a poem. I like it very much, also because balance beam is my favourite event.
