I was born on January 14th., 1995 in Apeldoorn (The Netherlands).
After I had succeeded to get my swimming certificates, I was allowed to start with my favourite sport: Gymnastics!
Not surprisingly, because my sister and brother, my mother and my great-grandfather also did gymnastics.
As a baby I already had seen a lot of training-sessions and contests of my brother and sister and I managed to do a little practising also. My mother always had great difficulties to take me home, as I understood.

Howevever, at the age of five I started to do some recreational gymnastics, as they call it.
After a little while I was selected by the coach to do some more training and ended up with 6 hours weekly, hurrah!

After a few months I even managed to win a medal at the club championships. That was the year 2000.

In 2001 I also started with acro-gymnastics together with my sister Tessa. This combination was excellent with acro. We did a lot of balance-training which I could use in gymnastics and otherwise in gymnastics I learnt a lot which
I could use with acro. In between I also managed to go to school and do some schoolwork.

Things were going easy until I was allowed to train at the National Gymnastics School, a 1 hour drive from our home.
Four times a week I had a private chauffeur, great! In 2005 I was selected to join the National Gymnastics Talent Team, which made me very happy. Balance Beam is my favourite (I managed to keep my feet off the floor during the whole season, of course during contests only!).
In July 2005 I moved to the National Topsport Organization "TON" in Oldenzaal and I'm very happy to continue my training in Oldenzaal. As from August 2006 my training schedule is 6 times a week, 22 hours in total. And from August2007 my training schedule is 6 times a week, 31 hours in total. I go to the High School now in Enschede, four hours a day.
I'm a lucky girl and I want to thank all the people who support me and give me the opportunity to pursue my goal : becoming a topgymnast!
Thanks for visiting my website.
Bye, bye
